About Kyle Whitehead

2025 Candidate for Brookfield Village Trustee

Kyle and his wife Jaimie moved to Brookfield in 2018, just before their oldest son Max was born. They now have three young boys: Max, Beau, and Charlie.

Kyle has served as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner since 2020. In 2021 he co-founded the Brookfield Parks and Recreation Foundation (BPRF), where he now serves as board president. BPRF raises funds to reduce parks program fees for low-income families and ensure more residents can afford parks programming year-round, including before- and after-school care, summer camp, sports, art, cooking, and other activities.

Kyle works in government affairs for the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), a public agency that oversees the public transit system in the Chicago area. In this role he advocates for funding and policies that help get more people riding the region’s buses and trains. Prior to joining RTA, Kyle worked in policy and communications for the Active Transportation Alliance, a not-for-profit organization that advocates for walking, bicycling, and public transit to create healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities in the Chicago region.

Kyle received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Public Administration degree from DePaul University.
